Show It is difficult tor even the most optimistic fan to see how Butte can remain very much longer in the N. P. League, unless there is a great revival of Interest in the Amalgamated team. When only one hundred fans attend a game, as on the opening open-ing day of the series with Salt Lake, the outlook begins to assume a gloomy appearance Even the most loyal fan would hesitate to go to the aid" of a team under such adverse conditions, and if Butte plays out the season, it will be a big surprise sur-prise to the casual observer. While affairs at Butte look the least propitious, it must be admitted ad-mitted that the attendance in all four cities of the, league shows that interest in the baseball pastime pas-time has undergone a notable slackening in all four cornei's of the league, with the possible exception ex-ception of Boise. Altogether the league is traveling trav-eling on rocky ways. |
