Show There are a great many scraggly trees all over H the city. Trees that need pruning, that should M have their tops cut off and sides rounded; the H dead limbs cut out, the superfluous branches elim- inated and the branches that bend down over the H walks sawed off. A tree is a little like a woman. M The rich dress is all right, but it must be directed M by a little taste or the effect is disappointing. It M will cost each inhabitant but a trifle, and were it H generally done the result would add vastly to. the H charm "of the trees when their summer garments H are donned. Then, the more beautiful the treo M the more love goes out to it, and the better will M be the care taken of it. Again, a tree properly M and symmetrically pruned, the less liable, is it H to succumb before the violence of a gale. Every H reason emphasizes the need of properly pruning H the trees. H |
