Show They are hearty boys and girls, those robins, J and their coming is hailed as a certain promise I that spring is on the way and will" come eventu. ally if it is not frozen to death. Robins Rob-ins are the best loved birds. Some other are better, that is more cultured singers, some have gayer robes, but none others have the same heartiness in their greeting; none are so filled , with good cheer. Then they are philosophers. No J , one loves the spring better than they; none, save the lark, has so cheery a morning call, but they do not desert us when the cold comes down and , all the voices of the streams are muffled. They I keep up their spirits, too, and every note from tliem is equivalent to saying, "Keep up your cour-1 cour-1 age, this awfully cold weather will take wings pretty soon and go to Wyoming." They are i most welcome, it is a pity that they do not know Just how welcome they are and how many people ! would like to give them house room and board un- I til the glacial period shall have passed. |
