Show Escalante Chit Chat The Doyle Cottams and the Vernon Spencers went to Las Vegas and attended at-tended the Lawrence Welk show. When they got home the Spencers went to Idaho to visit daughter Annalee and family. Wayne and Elsie Henderson of Laguna Hills, Calif, visited here at the Ivan Willis home. The Bill Vidrines went to California for the christening of their Fay Alvey granddaughter born to Greg and Debra. Scot Bailey of Las Vegas visited his grandfather, grand-father, Gail Bailey. Twila Mclnelly has Wells and Emmalou and family, Cohan and Betty and family. Neta Shirts got word of the death of a former Escalante resident, Winna Wilson Stubbs in California. The Shirts home was visited by Art Cooper and some of his family from Texas. The Earl Woolsey s had son Clint and Earlene Nelson here for a visit. Earl is getting around some now. Arlene Elmer and family took Marie Hall to Salt Lake City for a Walters family reunion at Linsey Park, then all the Ottley cousins met. When they got home Joe Hall and family of Wyoming visited here. Gayle and Marty Stock and family of Washington visited Laretta Spencer. The Boyd Woolseys and family, and the Gary Lane Listens joined the ward Sunday. The Relief Society was reorganized, Minnie Davis resigned as president with Millie Mclnelly and Neta Haycock counselors and Deon Alvey secretary. Ardis Christensen was sustained as president with Carolyn Porter and Betty R. Alvey counselors. coun-selors. Arnold Alvey went to St. George to meet Raylene and Deon and bring Deon home. The family of Daniel and Orilla Cowles met at the family home for the weekend to honor them for their 60th wedding anniversary. All of their own children there and most of the grandchildren. grand-children. David and Marilyn Griffin came from Idaho to bring the body of their infant son for burial with graveside services. He lived only a few hours. When you realize you've slowed down it fills your soul with fear, don't worry you can make it plodding along in low gear. |
