We send our prayers and love to you as you recover from your surgery. Rod and Katern Syrett have been kept busy hopping these past few weeks. Their daughter, Sheila Johnson, of Flagstaff, Arizona had a beautiful new baby boy. His father is T. J. Johnson and both Mom and Dad are delighted with their new son whom they have named, Weston Gene. Congratulations to the Johnson family. Their daughter, Chrishel, who is expecting a baby soon, had to be lifeflighted to Provo. Chrishel and sister Jentre' Syrett had been down visiting with Rod and kathern and Helma and Elaine Haas over the halloween weekend. Chrishel is married to Tim Leech, son of Elaine Haas. Kathem was able to fly up with Chrishel to the hospital in Provo and she then went with her up to Logan where the Leech family lives while Tim is going to school. Elaine Haas is going up to help out for a few days until Chrishel is able to get back on her feet again. Children, Sierra and Taten will be glad to see mommy feeling better. .We are all happy things are alright with the baby and wish a speedy recovery to Chrishel. Tim Leech got his Bachelor's Degree Test in Mechanical Engineering done and is now going to work on his Master's degree from USU for the next year. Great job Tim, congratulations, and good luck over the next few months while you work toward your goal. Erma Wintch was visiting in Tropic to attend the Wedding Reception of grandson Lenny Pollock and his new bride, Lauren. She wants everyone to know how happy and content she is with her new home in Orem. She is living in a Condo near daughter, Valerie Grimmer and her husband Don. Valerie said they have been busy doing all sorts, of things, among them they have attended plays, and . just plain getting a taste of the culture in the Orem - Provo area. Mike Burbidge dropped in on Erma and said he certainly approves of the new abode. Lenny and Lauren Pollock's wedding reception was beautiful and it was great seeing all the familiar faces who have moved away. The same night there was a Youth Conference taking place in the area. Congratulations to Lenny and Lauren and hope you have many wonderful years ahead of you. People in the Bryce Valley area would like to let Rick Blackwell and his family know that we send our love and prayers out to you on the loss of your beloved son. Gloria Hyden had her daughter daugh-ter Eleanor and husband Bill Stevees here from . Elko, Nevada, for a visit, of four days. They joined Bart and Peggy Palmer for dinner on Sunday. Bart is Gloria's son and Eleanor's brother. Gloria was very happy to have the company and hopefully it helped to make her feel better as she has been under the weather lately. Dixie Shakespear had son, Ed Shakespear and five boys at her home recently. They were here to attend the Youth Conference. One of the boys who was here was Dixie's grandson, Dallon, son of Ed and Camille Shakespear of Escalante. Camille was attending a session at the Temple in St. George. The Youth Conference was great and the young folks who attended attend-ed from out of the area stayed in homes all over town. While the youth were at the Conference they we able to tie 10 quilts for their Humanitarian Project. Great job kids. Thought winter was finally here to stay and now as you look out the window it is a wonder what happened to all the snow that we were getting the other day. Oh well, rain works. |
