Show Area Obituaries Alice Lloyd Alvey BOULDER Funeral services serv-ices for' Alice Lloyd Alvey, 8 1-, of Boulder, who passed away Apr. 21, 2002 in Panguitch, were held Friday, Apr. 26 in the Boulder LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Keith Gailey officiating. Family prayer was offered by Drew Coombs prior to the opening open-ing of services. Prelude and postlude music was provided by Gladys LeFevre, followed by an invocation by Bill Cox. A musical selection, "Perfect Prayer" was, performed by Elaine and Brenda Roundy with remembrances by Mary Jane Coombs. A talk was given by Bill Cox, followed by a musical selection "Nearer My God to Thee," sung by the Boulder Ward Choir. Bishop Keith Gailey offered remarks and a closing song, "God Be With You," was sung by the congregation. The benediction bene-diction was provided by Alfred Jepsen. Compassionate services were provided by the sisters of the Boulder LDS Ward Relief Society and Alisa Alvey, Laura Pack and Hope Ann Winter served as flower girls. Pallbearers were Darrell Alvey, Christopher Alvey, Shiloh Alvey, Bill Winter, Richard Winter, David Winter, Richard Pack and Brandon Scott Pack. Dedication of the grave was performed by Vard Coombs with interment at the Boulder Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Howard V. Hatch PANGUITCH - Funeral services for Howard V. Hatch, 74, of Panguitch, who passed away Apr. 22, 2002, were held Thursday, Apr. 25, 2002 at the Panguitch Second Ward LDS Chapel. Elder John W. Yardley and Bishop Michael Tebbs presided over the service, with Brother Thomas Hatch, a son, officiating. officiat-ing. The family prayer was provided pro-vided by a son, Randall Hatch, prior to the opening of the service. serv-ice. Prelude and postlude music was performed by Pam Yardley, a niece. The invocation was offered by son-in-law Martin Nay, followed fol-lowed by a musical number "The Place Where I Worship," performed by Jimmy Cooper and accompanied by Kathleen Cooper. A tribute was provided by a daughter, Collette Nay, followed by speaker Devon Owens. The grandchildren then rendered a musical selection "Grandpa," accompanied by granddaughter Teresa Hatch. Son Thomas Hatch honored his father with his thoughts and Roland Haws Porter ESCALANTE - Funeral services for Roland Haws Porter, 80, of Escalante who passed away Apr. 20, 2002 in Provo, were held Apr. 27, 2002 in the Escalante LDS Stake Center. Family prayer was offered by a brother, Bob Porter, prior to the opening of the service. Officiating was Counselor Marvin Porter with prelude and postlude music, provided by Susan Shurtz. The invocation was given by a grandson, Christian Porter, followed by a ladies trio of Deon Alvey, Marlene Haws and Geraldine Liston singing "These Hands," accompanied by Susan Shurtz. A tribute was presented by a daughter, RusCene Porter, followed fol-lowed by speakers Shelby Porter, a granddaughter; Khemmer Porter, a grandson; Rustin Porter, also a grandson and Amy Herrera. a granddaughter. grand-daughter. A vocal duet of Gloria Winkel and Sandra Porter sang "How Great Thou Art," followed fol-lowed by speakers Glynn Porter, a son; Karalinn Kasmer, a daughter; Robert Porter, a son and remarks by Marvin Porter. A piano solo was rendered by Karl Hutchinson, a brother-in-law, with music from the musical musi-cal Oklahoma. The benediction was offered by Khem Porter, a son. Pallbearers were Keegan remarks, followed by nephew John W. Yardley, who offered remembrances and remarks. A granddaughter, Alicia Hatch sang a jnusical selection "Daddy's Hands," and was accompanied by Pam Yardley. The benediction was provided provid-ed by son Paul Hatch, with the dedication of the grave performed per-formed by son Ronald Hatch. Pallbearers were grandsons Travis Hatch, Ryan Hatch, Justin Hatch, Chet Hatch, Brandin Hatch, Heath Hatch and Cole "Tug" Nay. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons-in-law Earl Jolley, Jim Mullenaux and Clint Barney and great-grandsons Jordan Jolley, Ty Mullenaux, McKade Hatch, Quinten Hatch, Clay Hatch, Tommy Mullenaux, Tyce Barney, Trey Barney, Hunter Hatch, Dakota Hatch and Dylan Hatch. Compassionate services were provided by the Panguitch LDS 2nd Ward Relief Society Sisters. Interment was in the Panguitch Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Porter, Jesse Kasmer, Jamison Porter, Kayler Porter, Rustin Porter, Jamen Porter, Calvin Kasmer, Khemmer Porter, Christian Porter and Chris Herrera. Honorary pallbearers were Kalab Porter (serving a mission in Argentina), Brayden Porter, Teag Porter, Cole Porter, Vergean Porter, Kenneth Griffin, Abbey Porter, Kayden Porter, Bob Porter, Jayden Kasmer, Jareek Kasmer, Alyssa Herrera, and Kaliana Herrera. Military rites were performed by the American Legion Post, and Kenneth Griffin dedicated the grave. Burial was in the Escalante Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
