Show Sherrie Mecham Former Miss Garfield County Releases Album Former Miss Garfield County. Sherrie Mecham no longer believes in putting things off. With the release of her CD "Into the Sunset", she rpakes a dream come true, a dream that just couldn't wait any longer. Not long after losing people close to her, she was challenged herself by a brain tumor that threatened her eyesight. With successful surgery behind her, she was nevertheless impressed with the fragile quality of life and determined to do some of the things she had long wanted to do. Always perceived by those near her as a sensitive and compassionate compas-sionate young woman, she composed com-posed each of the 1 1 songs on her album for someone who had deeply impacted her life. Sherrie's sweet pure voice renders lead and backup vocals and her sizable talent comes through on her guitar and piano. This emotional album will touch the hearts of listeners, especially those who know some of those to whom the songs are dedicated. Among the songs are "Katie in Antique Green," " Daddy's Girl," "On Wings of a Dove," and the title song, "Into the Sunset." Raised locally in Tropic, Sherrie and her twin sister Shauna were adopted as little children by Lowell and Margaret Mecham where they joined their Mecham brothers Steve and Scott. ... . ... j ; ! v.
