Show By Lynn Munson 679-8627 A wedding reception for Holly and Jared Lemke was well attended at Ruby's Inn. Holly is a daughter of Blaine and Shauna Anderson of Bryce and Jared is a son of Thomas and Liz Lemke of Pleasant Grove. Grandmothers Gwen Anderson and Jean Syrett, Blaine's sisters, and Shauna's sisters and brothers and their families, as well as Jared's family, made the reception memorable. memo-rable. Ella Adair had son Larry and wife Carol Adair of St. George spend the weekend to celebrate Ella's birthday on Sunday, Apr. 15. They all enjoyed a delicious birthday birth-day dinner fired by Bonnie and Gail Miles. Funeral services were held here for Royal Alvey. There was a very large group of relatives and friends there. All of Royal and wife Rella's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were there to honor "Pappy." Children who attended at-tended were Gayla Jean and Steve Hales, Redding, Calif.; Kenneth Royal and Ida Alvey, Las Vegas, Nev.; Afton and Frank Branch, Bountiful; Kim Alvey, Richfield; Kerry and JoNeil Alvey, Marvin Shakespear, and Florence and Mon-dell Mon-dell Syrett, all of Tropic; Carole and Larry Cloward, West Valley City; and Sonia and Lynn Allen, Panguitch. There were beautiful tributes to Royal by his children, grandsons and dear friends plus beautiful music by the grandkids and ward chorus. Royal was such a special friend to everyone and will be sorely missed in the community. We send our love and support to Rella and family. Rebecca Bales went to Moab last weekend to visit with Terra Chynoweth, her son Logan, and others of Terra's family members. While there, she visited with Trish and Tyson Lesmeister and son Traykun, Moab; Curtis and Natalie Chynoweth and children Jessyn and Tate, Farmington, N.M.; and DarT and Gloria Hatch, Castle Valley. Raymond and Ronnie Brinker-hoffs Brinker-hoffs daughter Amber was home to visit for a week. She took Ronnie back to Las Vegas and Ronnie is in the hospital for more tests. She is anxious to come home and we wish her a speedy recovery. In LDS sacrament meeting, the speakers were Lance Syrett and High Councilman Gail Miles. Easter Sunday was Stake Conference Confer-ence in Escalante. Last weekend, Pete and Keela Mangum had overnight guest Jean Reeves, a professor at Southern Utah University. She was here to teach Pete's wranglers CPR so they are prepared for emergencies on the trail rides. Gloria Hayden spent a week visiting vis-iting with her sisters. She stayed overnight with Janet LeFevre and visited with Connie Kleese. They all went to West Jordan to stay with Janet's daughter Jenice La'ulu and family. They visited with their aunt Beth Heinle and attended a concert where Jane's' grandson played a trumpet solo. It was a busy week for all. Obie and June Shakespear had daughter JoAnn Piatt and five children chil-dren of Cedar City home for a visit. Grandson Robert Fobert and friend attended the junior prom. Helma Haas was visited by Maxine Crosby, her son and daughter-in-law Norman and Cheryl Crosby and their son Mark, all of Panguitch. While the ladies visited, vis-ited, the men put in new replacement replace-ment windows for Helma. |
