Show By Marlene Haws 826-4859 marlenehcolor-country.net Happy New Year, everyone! I turned TV on at 1 1 :50 to watch the new year come in. The next thing I knew it was three minutes min-utes past midnight and it was all over! So much for cat naps! I can remember when Christmas and New Years meant dancing half the night and going to a party afterward. This year, if I'm not mistaken, I think they rolled the sidewalks up after the businesses closed in the evenings. New Years Eve the senior citizens were the only ones I could see that were having hav-ing a party! Then I heard that Bob and Mavis Munson had their annual New Years party at their house. But they live way over in the north 40 acres. In back of my house, but they must have been awfully quiet! Mostly members of the Sons of the Pioneers attended that. Someone else will have to do that one next year as the Munsons will be in Nauvoo on their LDS mission. While the rest of us were celebrating, cel-ebrating, there were others who had to make visits to the hospital. hospi-tal. Marleen Dunn had back surgery, sur-gery, but reports are that she is recovering nicely, which is good news. Richard Lyman had an accident acci-dent at the sawmill.
