Show Jtenrisvilte By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 The flu bug hit many of the townspeople and we certainly hope it leaves soon. LaRona Callahan was taken to Garfield Memorial Hospital and later transferred by life flight to Utah Valley Hospital. She is in the intensive care unit but is doing much better. We certainly hope she is well soon. Her husband Delano Callahan, mother Golda Mclnelly and daughter Robin Chynoweth went to be with her. Saturday, Jan. 8, was the combined temple day for Henrieville and Cannonville LDS wards in St. George, prior to ward conferences. Steve Floyd has completed his .Peace Officers Standard of Training (POST) and will be employed as a jailerdispatcher at the new Public Safety Facility in Panguitch. Helen Willis attended the temple in St. George with granddaughter Triessa Ramsay, where she received her endowments prior to marriage. Visiting with Bob and Helen Willis for the recent wedding and reception of their granddaughter Triessa were Larry and Marie Head and daughter Laura of Boise, Ida.; Craig and Peggy Oberhansli and daughter Brandi of Hawthorne, Nev. They all attended the temple then went to the receptions held in Tropic and Cedar City. It was a wonderful week for all. Larry Head, Craig Oberhansli, Ty Martin and Laura Head all went to Milford to the ball game to give their support to Lucas Ramsay. We were saddened to learn of the death of Jay Riggs of Panguitch. If you are in the older generation, you will remember when he was the LDS Stake President. He is remembered with great fondness. Attending his funeral were Rhoda Shafer and Gretha Twitchell who are cousins. Steven Shayd Roberts, infant son of Dave and Stephanie Roberts, (See HENRIE VTLLE on page 7-A) HENREEVILLE From Page 6-A was blessed in the Henrieville LDS Ward by his uncle, Riley Roberts. Also attending the event were grandparents Ken and Valeene Roberts and great-grandfather Garth Roberts, and Gannon Roberts, all of Antimony; great-grandmother May Sawyer, Hatch; Tracy Roberts and Kenna and husband Ryan Toon and Amberly Roberts of Logan. Also attending were Mark and Sheila Orton and daughter Kamrie of Panguitch; Dave and Kathryn Pollock and daughter Yolanda Pollock of Tropic and Brad Cowen of Tropic. Also from Panguitch was the Phil Singleton family. A wonderful lunch was served afterward at church. Kytlin Chynoweth was advanced to the office of Priest in LDS Sacrament meeting. He is a son of Klin and Nancy Chynoweth. Ernie Henderson visited with Jim Smith at the Garfield Memorial Long Term Care Center on Friday. Ernie also took his wife Wynona to the doctors. She is battling the flu bug for the second time this past month. Steve Goulding brought his mom Elsie Goulding from the Care Center for church Sunday to attend the blessing of her great grandson, Steven Shayd Roberts. Kathryn Pollock took her to their home for the evening for visiting, then took her back to the center. Henrieville Town Board meeting was held on Wednesday at the town hall where the two new town board members, John Barnett and Ernie Henderson were sworn in by Mayor Thor Johnson. |
