Show Tropic f lows By Lynn Munson-679-8627 Gloria Hayden and Anna Marie Johnson were visited by Gloria's daughter Eleanor and husband, Bill Steves of Elko, Nev. They spent most of their four days here taking care of Gloria and Anna Marie who were both down with the flu. Kent and Betty Wintchs daughter, daugh-ter, Pam Spencer was here from Colorado for a visit to take her parents par-ents to Dixie Medical Center where Kent had surgery on his hand. Later, son Rhett from Panaca, Nev., arrived to help his folks while Kent is recovering. Jack and Mae Chynoweth were in Richfield Monday getting parts for their furnace. That is one thing you don't want to be without in January! Out-of-town visitors for Triessa and Brett Hepworth's wedding reception re-ception Saturday were Craig, Peg and Brandi Oberhansli of Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Nev.; Larry and Marie Head and Laura Peterson from Boise, Ida.; Wade and Sheri Linn Ramsay and family of American Fork and Earl, Darlynn and Arlene Sorensen of Orderville. Also there was Dennis Den-nis and Brenda Shakespear and family, fam-ily, Nick and Carolyn Ramsay and family, Gene and Coleen Ramsay and Grant and Lesli Ramsay, all of Kanab. There were also many local family and friends at the reception to celebrate their marriage. Shilo and Geneva Richards are the proud parents of a baby boy, Keagan Bronc Richards, born Dec. 13 in Cedar City. Mother and son are doing fine and grandparents Tom and Melody Richards are having great fun spoiling their grandchild. Minnie Nielsen has beei staying stay-ing with her nephew Ron McGee and family in Salt Lake City while awaiting surgery that took place at LDS Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 18. We all pray for her speedy recovery. Louise Ott, former Tropic News columnist, reports from her mission mis-sion in Spokane, Wash., that she is feeling great and is very busy. She sends along thanks for the cards and letters over the holidays and expressed ex-pressed appreciation for everyone's support. Jack and Gaya Greenhalgh spent a week in Las Vegas with their son John and family. While there they celebrated John's birthday. Gl oria Hayden and Anna Marie Johnson spent several nights in Ce- 1 dar City with Gloria's sister Janet LeFevre. All her sisters met in St. George on Sunday to hear the LDS mission report of their brother and sister-in-law Dar and Helen Smith. They have just returned from New Zealand. Visitors at the Silas Munson home last weekend were John and Darrel Munson. Darrel returned from Slidell, La. to work with John in Las Vegas. They will both be foreman on their jobs in construction construc-tion and since Las Vegas is the fastest growing city in the United States, they won't have to worry about keeping employed. Paul and Keela Mangum spent the weekend at their home in Phoenix, Phoe-nix, Ariz. Besides enjoying the warm weather, they watched their horse run on Saturday. The horse took first place in his race last week. Our weather may not be as warm as Phoenix, but this past week it's hard to believe it January. It makes you want to start yard work but Mother Nature is just teasing. Winter will be back any day. |
