Show James W. " Jim" Smith HENRIEVILLE James W. "Jim" Smith, 84, of Henrieville, passed away Jan. 15, 2000, in Panguitch. Pan-guitch. He was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Henrieville, to Allen Freeman and Dorothy Jane Welker Smith. He married Rae Woolsey, Dec. 17, 1945, in St. Anthony, Idaho. The marriage was solemnized solem-nized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Tem-ple. Jim herded sheep in his early youth and teenage years. While working in California at an Aircraft factory, he joined the Army Air Corp. He received his silver wings and was a aerial tail gunner on a B-24 B-24 in the European Theater during WWII. He retired from Bryce Canyon Can-yon National Park. Jim was active in the LDS Church where he served as bishop, high councilman, ward clerk, executive secretary, and was a very dedicated home teacher. He is survived by his wife Rae of Henrieville; children: Barbara (Lance) Jaggar, Escalante; Dorothy (Don) Burkhardt, Peoria, Ariz; Jim (Margo) Smith, Escalante; ten grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Hannah Spendlove, Las Vegas; Woodrow Smith, Murray; Lynn Smith and Winna Smith, both of Boise, Ida.; and Dorothy Tyler, Downey, Ida. He is preceded in death by his ST. GEORGE, Utah Lloyd Haycock, 83, died Jan. 17, 2000 at the Zion Health Care Complex in Hurricane. He was born June 3, 1916 in Panguitch to Jesse Wentworth and Lenora Riding Haycock. He married LaRue Billington Mar. 24, 1939 in Provo. As a child, Lloyd lived in Panguitch, Santaquin, and Benjamin, Benja-min, remaining in Benjamin following his marriage. During World War II, Lloyd and LaRue moved to California where Lloyd worked at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard building "Liberty Ships." In 1946, they moved to China Lake, Calif., where he worked as a plumber for 25 years. He retired to Hilton Creek, Crowley . Lake, Calif., and in 1979, they moved to 29 Palms, Calif.- In 1999, they moved to Las Vegas, Nev. Lloyd lived his last year in Hurricane at the Zion Health Care Complex where he received tender, loving care. Lloyd was the Lodge Master at the Masonic Lodge 695 at V A ' . Funeral directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Lloyd Haycock Ridgecrest, Calif., in 1962. He was an avid fisherman and had many friends scattered across the country. He is survived by his wife: LaRue B. Haycock of Las Vegas; a daughter: Carolyn Haycock (John) Luke of 29 Palms and Tropic, Utah; two grandchildren: Phoebe Luke (Brook) Wiseman of Tropic; her children are: Andrew and Daniel Harmon; and Ted Luke of Wrightwood, Calif.; a step-grandchild: step-grandchild: Lincoln (Toi) Luke of 29 Palms; their children: Lyza, Jason, Elizabeth, Alofa and Jonathon Luke. Masonic Funeral Services will be Thursday, Jan. 20 at the Spilsbury & Beard Mortuary Chapel, 110 . So. Bluff St., St. George, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Tropic City Cemetery under the direction of Spilbury & Beard Mortuary, (435) 673-2454. Jay A. Riggs PANGUITCH Funeral services servi-ces for Jay Angus Riggs, 84, of Panguitch who passed away Jan. 8, 2000 were held Jan. 12, 2000 at the Panguitch LDS Stake Center. Officiating was Panguitch 3rd Ward Bishop Del Hulet. The family fami-ly prayer was offered by Ron Riggs, a son, and prelude music was rendered by the Four-Ward Choir under the directon of Elaine Matthews with accompaniment by Pam Robison. The invocation was given by Martha Ipson, a daughter. The grandchildren sang "Love Is Spoken Here," accompanied by daughter-in-law Jean Riggs. Tributes were offered by daughters Kathy Riggs and Pam Yardley and by grandchildren grand-children Robyn Santorini, Craig Riggs and Emily Glasgow. A male chorus sang "Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy," accompanied ac-companied by Jean Riggs. Son Joe Riggs spoke and closing clos-ing remarks were given by Bishop Hulet. The Four-Ward Choir sang "There Is a Green Hill Far Away," directed by Elaine Matthews and accompanied by Pam Robison. Daughter Patricia Foy offered the benediction and the Four-Ward Choir provided rendered the postlude music. Granddaughters were flower girls. Pallbearers were sons Fred G. Riggs, Joseph W. Riggs, and Ronald Ron-ald K. Riggs; sons-in-law John W. Yardley, Howard J. Foy and Blaine Ipson. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons Chad Riggs, Bryan Riggs, Adam Riggs, Jody Riggs, Tony Riggs, Craig Riggs, Steven Riggs, Willie Riggs, Luke Yardley, Danny Yardley, Eric Foy, Sterling Foy, Alex Foy, Phillip Ipson, David Ipson, Jay Ipson, Josh Ipson and Nathan Ipson.
