Show By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Michael Clarke came from his home in Logan to spent the weekend with his parents, Jim and Erma Clarke. ' Gerald and Dawn Stock and Arnell Burr spent Monday in Cedar City. Quite a few people are still having flu and other ailments but the wonderful snow storms' have cleared the air and given us a fresh outlook for the future. A large group of local fans attended the Region Basketball Tournament in Cedar City. Cannonville LDS Ward held ward conference on Sunday with a good attendance, considering consid-ering the difficulty getting around in the snow. All members mem-bers of the Stake Presidency were here and Stake representatives representa-tives of the auxiliaries. Speakers in the General Conference meeting were Clinton Brinkerhoff, Bishop Joey Comp and President Myron Cottam. The closing song was a medley of "As Sisters in Zion" and "The Army of Helaman," beautifully sung by the Young Women and Young Men. It was a wonderful conference. Cherlyn Twitchell was home for the weekend. Vaughn Twitchell also came home and spent a few days during the storm, shoveling snow and help-ingNmily help-ingNmily and neighbors. He 1 went back to St. George Monday to continue working in the LDS temple there until time to start spring lawn and garden work. Mae Twitchell and daughter, Arjean Twitchell visited Melda Davis in the Garfield Care Center in Panguitch. Also Bonnie Willis and Helen Willis visited Melda recently following follow-ing her fall where she cracked her shoulder and received some bad bruises. She had knee surgery sur-gery in Cedar City, then went to the care center for therapy. We send our love and hope she is doing much better soon. Quite a group of family and friends of the basketball team went to Provo for the state tournament. tour-nament. Just heard that Bryce Valley was beaten by Duchesne's team yesterday. So sorry! The play Dugway today. We are really proud of our team and they have done a great job this year. A number of people attended the funeral service in Tropic for Adrian Pollock on Monday. We send our sincere sympathy to his wife, Glenn and family and also to LaVenda Moore and family. Kirk Moore was well known and loved in our area. |
