Show Brown Bag Programs Explore Rocky Riddles The Bureau of Land Management, in cooperation with the Arizona Strip Interpretive Interpre-tive Association and the Bryce Natural History Associa-tion, continues its Brown Bag lunch programs with a closer looks at bizarre formations on the planet surface. Part of Grand Staircase-Escalante Staircase-Escalante National Monument's (GSENM) Devils Garden is a surreal landscape of whimsical hoodoos, graceful arches, and inspiring domes. What caused these strange, almost abstract, rock structures? On Mar. . 26 from 1 1 a.m. to 1 p.m., noted geologist Keith Watts will try to answer this question and more at a special field study presentation, presenta-tion, The Geological Wonders of Devils Garden, held on location at Devils Garden, 12 miles south of Highway 12 off the Hole-in-the-Rock Road. The presentation presenta-tion is free to the public, who are welcome to bring a picnic lunch. Picnic tables and a toilet are available. |
