Show UUUPJUVILLU HEWS By Wynona Henderson 679-8560 What a great week this week for weather! Some of the long awaited snow and it was so we we are really grateful for it. The Annual Blue & Gold Scout Banquet was held on Wednesday night with Chad and Jamie Reeder in charge. The theme was a Mexican Fiesta. Several awards were given out and a delicious meal was served. The scouts especially loved the pinata. The Klinton and Cassie Chynoweth reception and wedding wed-ding were well attended. We really enjoyed visiting with Jay and Shanna White. They're looking well. Here for the Chynoweth wedding were Ron and Deene Baugh, they're daughter Candy and husband, Dave Duncan and another daughter, Brooke and Everett Westerman of Riverton and all of their families from here. Also here were Cassie 's aunt, Dianne and her daughter, Kristy Tullis of Cedar City; Kerry Williams of Parowan . and Kytlin Chynoweth and Colby Olsen of Herriman. The young couple plan to stay here. We welcome them and wish them well. Ernie and Wynona Henderson tried to visit Gloria Hayden in Kolob Rehab in St. George, but she had gone for awhile so they said hello to Mike and Julie Johnson who both work there. Then to a short visit with Mitch Henderson who is working on the new Dixie High School. Then on to Cedar City Kolob Rehab for a visit with Melda Davis, who recently had a knee replacement. Her son, Lamond was there and we were happy to see him again. LaRona Callahan, Cindy Johnson and Robin Chynoweth were in Grantsville to visit LaRona's brother, Verl and wife, Miriam Mclnelly. They also visited her son, Kenneth Callahan in Sandy. In Salt Lake City they visited the LDS Church Museum. LaRona's great-grandfather helped build the log cabin which sits by the museum. Speakers in Henrieville LDS Ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday were the full time missionaries, mis-sionaries, Sister NeVille and Sister Page. Christy Clark was the youth speaker. A special musical number was given by Chad and Jamie Reeder on the piano. Eugene and LaKay Quilter were in Cedar City for follow-up follow-up appointments after his recent surge 17. Robert and Louise Patterson made an emergency trip to Dixie Regional Hospital in St. George on Monday. He was able to come home on Thursday. Carson and Beth Johnson and girls are back home from Montana. Russell and Lyllian LeFevre and all of their kids and families were in Kanab on Sunday for the 'mission farewell of Beau Shakespear, son of Dennis and Brenda Shakespear. He will be going to the Dallas, Texas mission. mis-sion. Max and Logann Eagar were in Cedar City on Wednesday for Calvin's check-up. Helen Willis and Carla Ramsay were in Orem for the funeral of Wanda Underwood, who was the wife of Alfred Underwood. She was taken to Marion, Utah for burial. Jacie and Lauren Patterson of St. George have been here for several days visiting with grandparents grand-parents Linda, Robert and Louise Patterson. Robb and Loreli Adkins and family were in Boise, Ida. Visiting Cliff and Collette Mathews are their grandkids Shelby and Christopher Mathews, St. George. Nathan New of St. George is here visiting a certain girl, Tarynn at the Piatt home. Also visiting the Ken Platts were Dan and Millie Chidester and family of Richfield. Lots of folks are in Cedar City for the boys regional ball games. |
