Show PMJGUI7CU CJGVJS By Earl Roe 676-2376 wearlroeyahoo.com Today's storm was a doozy! I believe it gave us more moisture than the last four of five put together. Lawrence and Margaret Frandsen and most of their family fam-ily gathered in South Jordan to attend the wedding of Lloyd and Suzane Frandsen's daughter Marie who is the last of their children to be married. Their son Ryan is finishing his masters mas-ters degree in business administration adminis-tration and then applying for law school (following Dad's footsteps.) Ryan is now in Washington D.C. serving as an intern for Senator DeMenchie from New Mexico. He was there during the ricin scare and was involved in the three-day evacuation evacu-ation of the building. Lloyd grew up in Panguitch and Suzanne came here to work as a nurse in our hospital. We were really hurting for nurses at the time and our "home grown" nurses were quite happy to have an addition to their ranks and thought it would be permanent especially when she married Lloyd, but after a few years Lloyd's political career took them to Salt Lake City. I doubt if Evalyn ever forgave Lloyd for taking Suzanne from us. Lloyd is still active in politics, mostly as a lobbyist during the legislative legisla-tive sessions. . Lawrence and Margaret's family is really growing. They now have 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren (five born last year and one expected this summer.) Their daughter, Debra, was recently treated to a 50th birthday party in Salt Lake City by her daughter, Kami, with many family members and friends attending. Kami now has three children of her own, two boys and a new baby daughter, daugh-ter, Shelby Lynn. Pat and Ileta Dix had Casey and Cathy Dix and Cathy's dad Alec Mclnnis visiting them last week. Alec is from Glasgow, Scotland. Ileta and her daughter Robbie Irish traveled to Kanab on business then went on to St. George for an LDS Temple session. Marie (Sandberg) Memmot's husband is now out of intensive care (heart trouble) and in a private pri-vate room waiting for a pacemaker. pace-maker. His phone number is (435) 251-1232 and he would welcome calls from friends and family. I received an email from F.G. Riggs from Jacksonville, Fla., telling me of a telephone visit he had with a friend from Panguitch, Rulon Hatch. Both F.G. and Rulon grew up and attended school in Panguitch. F.G is the older brother of Ron Riggs and Pam Yardley and Rulon is the older brother of Emma Ahlstrom. Rulon drives truck for a living and had just delivered a load in Jacksonville and was waiting for a return load to be placed onin his truck. Knowing that F.G. lived in Jacksonville, Rulon found his number in the phone book and called him for about a 30-minute 30-minute visit. In the course of their conversation Rulon learned of the recent death or F.G.'s cousin, Judy Dalton Finlinson who just happened to have been Rulon's first girlfriend girl-friend while he was in school. (This was almost a Panguitch Connection except that it was not an accidental meeting.) F.G. said he really enjoys reading the news and learning of the doings of those he remembers remem-bers in bur area. (Hint we need more of you to share your doings with those former Panguitch residents who still feel like this is home.) Nothing is too trivial! Jim Yardley is recovering very nicely from his recent hip replacement. Within a week he was getting around with a walker. walk-er. Lucille said that if he doesn't soon get well enough to get back to his office, he will have a trail worn in their carpet with all of his walking.
