She has been here for a week and they are having a good visit. They have done a lot of catching up and enjoying each other. It was also Wallace's 93rd birthday birth-day and all of the family that could make it came and they had a wonderful dinner and a great time enjoying being with each other. Wallace is quite an active man. He still goes up and takes care of his land and other things that need taking care of at his home. Happy Birthday Wallace. We love to hear him tell his stories sto-ries and share his adventures with us. Lowell and Margaret Mecham have had daughter, Sherrie Mecham of Provo here for a visit. She came down to check on her parents and to spend some quality time with them. While she was here she joined her sister Shauna Talbot and her daughters, Jacqulyn and Taylor, in taking their mother to Cedar City to see a Shakespear play and everyone enjoyed the time together. Margaret is recovering from recent surgery and had a good time with her family. Jean and Spring Seiler made a trip back to Maryland to pick up their son Jake Seiler who has been serving an LDS mission there. They stayed with Spring's sister Janet Dillingham. While they were back there, they visited such sites as Palmyra and Kirtland . City. They spent two weeks enjoying the country and were delighted to bring their son home with them. Their other son Jon Seiler is in Paraguay on an LDS mission mis-sion and will be coming home in the next month or so. Spring said it was hard to go so soon after losing her father, but she was excited to see her son after two years. Jake is now home and says he is doing well and trying to adjust to not being on his mission. Welcome home Jake. Afton and Dell Rae Pollock had Dell Rae's brother and sister-in-law Ferrell and Beverly Campbell here for a visit. They came on a Saturday and brought all of their children and grandchildren grand-children with them. Ferrell lived in Tropic until he was 10 years old before moving away with his family. They all went to the Tropic Town Park for lunch and enjoyed each other. The Pollock families from around here joined them and there were 54 in attendance. Fencll and Beverly enjoyed touring the town and seeing the old buildings still standing and were amazed at all of changes that have taken place over the years. Dell Rae said it was so good to have everyone together for a little while and they thoroughly thor-oughly enjoyed the visit. We are certainly glad that two of the teachers from Bryce Valley Elementary were not too seriously hurt in the accident on top at the junction to Bryce Canyon and Tropic. Charlene Ancira and Barbara Talbot were returning to Panguitch when a tourist ran through a stop sign and broadsided them on the passenger pas-senger side. Barbara sustained bruises and is sore and stiff, Charlene came through all right but her car didn't fare as well; it was totaled. We are sure glad that it wasn't worse for them. The kids at school would mis them if they had to have bee gone for any reason. Saw Kathy Shakespeare' Silver Beaver Award.
