Show By Marlene Haws 826-4859 . Alan Bailey, son of McKay Bailey, was recently awarded the 2001 "Situational Leadership", award for the Powers Rx! Division of Pfizer Inc. It was. awarded in Orlando, Fla., af Pfizer's annual Year Beginning Manager's Meeting by the vice president of sales where former New York City mayor Rudolf Giuliani was the keynote speaker. speak-er. Alan and Sara live in the Mesa, Ariz., area now and have five children. McKay and Rose just returned from a visit there.'. They attended and LDS sacra-' ment meeting where their grandson, grand-son, Jeremy Brian, reported his mission to Spain. Jerry and Natalie (Bailey) Brian are Jeremy's parents. The Baileys also visited with Bob and Sandra Porter and Dean and Elaine Knox while they were in Mesa. They went to Cedar City last Friday for the funeral services of Judith Ann Kenny. She is the mother of their daughter-in-law, Karma, who married Stuart Bailey. Klyn and Marlene Haws spent the weekend in Salina with the Jon Sorensens. The family of Brent and Patrice Cottam was also there. They all attended the basketball games in Richfield. Analee . Knudsen invited the teenagers to her home .in Mayfield for a party after the games. Visiting at her home and traveling to the games were Vernon Spencer and the family of Ed and Camille Shakespear. I guess I shouldn't have mentioned men-tioned names of people who were at the games. I couldn't begin to name them all. Nancy Porter and Stephanie Steed were there handing out prizes from South Central Communications; parents of all the boys were there-: Kevin and Vickie Schulkoski; Richard and Debbie Lyman; Bart and Joy Carter; Cindy Steed (Scott may have been there but I didn't see him. I saw his brother, Sam, from Marysvale); Cris and Tammy Christensen; Kim Reid's family (were you there, Danny?) Greg and Paula Shakespear; Line and Donna Chynoweth; and I'm sure there were many others. When you get in a crowd that size it is hard to see everyone (I may have even thought I saw someone some-one who wasn't there!) So I apologize to those I've missed. Call and tell me next time! Donnie Randall came home for a few days but had to be rushed back to the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. She is having a struggle. Her Mom, Phyllis Alvey, and her husband, Kim Randall, both went to be with her. It was a big day for Bishop Escalante From Page 2-A Wade and Shelley Barney last Sunday. Their daughter and son-in-law, Candace and David Shakespear came from Salt Lake City to have their baby boy blessed. His name is Dyllan. He had two sets of grandparents who came from Tropic; Franz and Margaret Shakespear and great-grandparents, Malen and Marian Mecham and uncles, Jimmy and John Shakespear, Tropic; Lynn Barney, Richfield, and Donald and Karma Shakespear, Brigham City. Another great-grandmother, Berthene Griffin, from Henrieville. Henrie-ville. Relatives coming from Cedar City were: Wade and Laura Laws, Ryan and Erin Shakespear and sons, Brian and Shelly Clement. Also friends, Jason and Dawn Spencer and Cliff and Natalie Bokaw, Cedar City. Nothing brings families together like little sweet babies! Pat Woolsey Is ALL excited! She was chosen employee of the month at Cottam's Canyon Country Store and her prize is an all expense paid trip to Orlando, Fla. She will be taking her husband, hus-band, Layne, with her and they will visit Disney World, the Epcot Center, etc. She just wishes she could get there and back without having to fly, but I'll bet she'll want to do it again after her first time! |
