Show Utah HEAT Program to Start Nov. 1 Maybe you have seen their brightly colored posters at local businesses and post office bulletin bul-letin boards. The word HEAT on those posters stand for Home Energy Assistance Target program pro-gram designed to assist eligible households to meet the rising costs of home heating. Those applying for the HEAT program can do so from Nov. 1, 2002 until Mar. 3 1 , 2003 or until federal funds are exhausted. Eligibility for the program can be determined by contacting your local HEAT representative for Garfield County, Brenda Lyman at 435-826-4459. She is in her office in Escalante at the Senior Citizen Center on Mondays from 10 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. In Tropic she will be at the Scout House from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesday and Henrieville's hours are 1 to 3 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center. On Wednesdays, Lyman will in from 10 a.m. until noon and from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Workforce Services Center in Panguitch. Residents are encouraged to call for an appointment so that they can be prepared to meet with Lyman and have what they will need to make application for the HEAT program. |
