Show Gordon M. Beckstrom PANGUITCH Gordon M. Beckstrom, 67, of Panguitch, passed away May 2, 2000 at his son's home in Murrieta, Calif. He was born Mar. 23, 1933 in Panguitch, Pan-guitch, to Dilworth "Dewy" and Iola LeFevre Beckstrom. He married Annette Veater on June 20, 1952 in the St. George LDS Temple. He was raised and educated in Panguitch. He moved his family to San Diego, Calif., where he worked as a truck driver and warehouseman for over 30 years. He retired and moved back to Panguitch in 1997. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his family in many activities. He was an active member of the LDS Chruch, where he served in many capasities. He is survived by his wife Annette An-nette of Panguitch; children: Shirley Shir-ley Carlson of St. George; Stanley (Nancy) Beckstrom and Clayton (Helen) Beckstrom, all of Cedar City; Michael (Rebecka) Beckstrom of Murrieta, Calif.; and Kenneth (Denise) Beckstrom of San Diego, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Fern Shakespear of Layton. SALT LAKE CITY PANGUITCH PAN-GUITCH Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Carrol, 60, returned to Heavenly Father on May 9, 2000, in Holiday. She was born April 20, 1940, in Panguitch, to Myron O. and Alda Miller Cooley. She married James Marshall Gray, who preceded her in death. She later found her loving companion Elmo D. Christensen. She loved her family, friends, and kitties. She loved the outdoors-hunting, outdoors-hunting, fishing, gardening, hiking the mountains, or deserts and watching softball games. Carrol was an accomplished dancer and athlete. She loved to sew, do crafts and work with her hands. Stray animals found their way into her home and her heart. She love them all! She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, laughter, and how she touched others oth-ers with her warm spirit. Carrol 1 was a strong and mighty soldier that never complained. She lived a, full and active life and will be lovingly lov-ingly remembered by her many friends and family. She is survived by her companion compan-ion Elmo; Salt Lake City; her daughter, Cindy A. Christensen; son-in-law Kurt Christensen; and precious granddaughter, Megan Lu-cinda Lu-cinda Christensn, all of West Valley Val-ley City; step-children: Shelly and Paul Hogue, Colorado; Susan and Gary Sieben, Montana; her only grandson, Colton Sieben; and her' oldest granddaughter, Elizabeth M. t , . Funeral services were held Tuesday, Tues-day, May 9, 2000 in the Panguitch 3rd LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral directors: Neal S. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1 1, 2000 at 10 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State, Murray, Utah, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial will be at 5 p.m. in the Panguitch Cemetery on Thursday. Funeral directors: Neal S. Ma-gleby Ma-gleby and Sons Mortuary. Maitland Griffin Spencer ESCALANTE Funeral services ser-vices for Maitland Griffin Spencer, 90, who died Apr. 28, 2000 a Panguitch, Utah, were held Thursday, Thurs-day, May 4 at the Escalante LDS Stake Center with Bishop Wade Barney officiating. The family prayer was offered by Darrel Spencer, a grandson. Prelude and postlude music was by Areola gates. The invocation was offered by Barry Peterson, a grandson-in-law followed by a tribute , by daughter-in-law Sherree Roundy. Remarks and a musical selection were presented by ! Michelle Peterson, a granddaughter. ; Special remarks were also offered by grandsons Evan Spencer and Darrel Spencer, followed by a musical selection by Delane, Lynn and Brent Griffin. Speaking was Jerry Roundy, a son-in-law, followed by a musical selection by Delane, Lynn and Brent Griffin. The benediction was offered by nephew Garland Mitchell. Pallbearers were Nicholas Spencer, Chad Spencer, Cameron Alvey, Carson Alvey and Cal Porter. The dedication of the grave was given by Evan Spencer. Interment was in the Escalante Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
