Show CMmonviLLu news By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 Gloria Clark went to Salt Lake City with her daughter, Tonya Syrett and the Chyno-weth Chyno-weth family of Henrieville, to meet her grandson, Elder Klinton Chynoweth on his return from filling an LDS mission mis-sion to Scotland. He is a son of Klyn and Nancy Chynoweth. Dallas and Emilee Clark and Brandon and Holly Baugh were also there to meet him. Clyde and Gail Heiner came from Salt Lake City and spent several days at their home here doing spring yard work. In Cannonville LDS church services J.J. Dunham, grandson of Anna Dunham, graduated from Primary and was ordained a Deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood. Also Ramona Morreale was released as ward choir accompanist,. Emilee Clark was released as enrichment enrich-ment leader in Relief Society and Clint Brinkerhoff was released as a teacher in the Primary. Stephanie Brinkerhoff was sustained as choir accompanist accompa-nist and Emilee Clark was sustained sus-tained as assistant choir director. They were set apart after the meeting. Don and Louise Mangum, along with family members Clifford Mathews; Ben and Diane Mathews and son, Trevor; Kay Dunham and Lace Walker, made a trip to Kelso, Calif, where the family lived when the boys were young. The old school and school master's home, along with the old store are still standing on one side of the railroad tracks. The house they lived in is the only building on the other side of the tracks still standing. They are in the process of restoring the old Depot. This restoration is scheduled to be completed in June 2004 and they plan to make the trip again at that time and see the changes that are made. On the way back they stopped at Hoover Dam where some of them had never been before. They returned home Sunday and Monday morning Diane received word that her mother had passed away in Montana. We extend to them our heartfelt condolences. Anita Fletcher received word from Phyllis Beard that husband Mel Beard has been released from the hospital and they are staying at the home of his sister. He has to go in for a therapy session every day, so it looks like they will be there for awhile longer. Be cooperative Mel, and do what the doctor orders! We need you and Phyllis back here! Anna and J.J. Dunham took Margaret Braithwaite to St. George for a medical appointment. appoint-ment. They stopped in Cedar City for shopping. On Sunday, Anna prepared a special lunch with family and friends invited to honor J.J. on becoming a deacon. |
