Show I I j V , t f J Sfc Heath Piatt Henrieville Native Completes Army Training HENRIEVILLE - Sfc Heath Piatt of the Army Special Forces (Green Berets) recently attended . a jungle survival school in Malaysia. He was there for two months. Half the time he was trying to live in a swamp, and the other half he was living in the jungle. He had to learn to survive off the land and could only eat and drink the natural things he found around him. When he came home, he was sick, but he survived. sur-vived. He also came home with the award proclaiming him the "Outstanding Student." This , was the first time in the history of this school that an American has ever received this particular award. While Heath was in Malaysia, the rest of his Special Forces team was deployed to an undisclosed undis-closed destination. When he returned to Japan, where he and his team are currently stationed, his wife, Kim, was in labor with their second child. The Army allowed him to remain in Japan until after the baby was born. Kim delivered a baby girl. Heath will now join the rest of his team wherever they may be. His wife and two daughters will remain in Japan awaiting his return from deployment. |
