Show The Road Goes Both Ways Just a few words of rebuttal to Tori Woodard's letter to the editor, "It's Not About Freedom, It's About Oil." Tori hasn't seemed to share the values of most of us since she first moved to Escalante (Garfield County). She appears to be against everything we stand for. It would be surprising to me if we ever did anything that met with her approval. She seems to be the kind of citizen who fights tooth and toenail toe-nail against a new reservoir for Escalante, then still expects her full share of water one who comes into a community and expects everyone to sell their souls to the Grand Canyon Trust and the likes! No one likes war, much less sending our troops to fight one, and we have oil right here in our own back yard if the environmentalists environ-mentalists would let us drill for it. So it is foolish to even assume oil to be a factor. But apparently Tori thinks we should all exercise passiveness while she passes judgment on all of us. I'm sure I would not be the first to mention that the same road that brought her here will take her back to where she came from, since she thinks we are such imbeciles. Marlene Haws Escalante |
