Show PAUGUITCtl UUVJS By Earl Roe 676-2376 wearlroeyahoo.com . The news line and weather are still dry. I am still hoping for a monsoon in both areas. I know there were many former for-mer Panguitch residents in town over the Memorial Day weekend, week-end, but their relatives living here must have considered them not to be newsworthy because no one has let me know who they were. Art Cooper's sister, Toni and her husband Steve, were here for a few days, but Toni picked up some kind of virus infection and was not able to visit with her friends or even attend church fearing that she might pass it on to others. They have now returned to their home in New York. Ken and Judi Roe and some of their children and grandchildren grandchil-dren were in town over the Memorial weekend checking on the family home and taking care of the gravesites of loved ones. I had a short visit with Ron Proctor who was here for several sever-al days taking his turn at caring for his parents George and Thora Proctor. Thora told me that all four of their childen, Ron, Jim, Connie, and Colleen, (and some grandchildren) take turns being with them to give them what help they need. She said these "senior years" make you thankful thank-ful that you reared your children with the "old fashioned" ideas like taking care of mom and dad when they needed help. Jack and Marlynn Soper have returned to Alaska as campground camp-ground hosts for another summer. sum-mer. Marlynn says they are not going to stay as long this year no matter how much Jack enjoys the fishing. Had a call from Dick Haycock (Class of '40) concerning concern-ing the bit on Judd Farmer which he read in the Panguitch News. Dick mentioned that he lived with the Farmers when he was in Ogden and he would like to get in touch with Judd. I could only refer him to Art Cooper who was my source of information. informa-tion. I am not sure he got the information he wanted because Art has gone back to Denton, Tex., to be present at the baptism of a grandson and spend a couple cou-ple of weeks visiting with his children.
