PANGUITCH - Panguitch will present its 6th Annual Quilt Walk Festival June 12-14 featuring fea-turing a show of over 200 quilts from around the United States, as well as quilting classes taught by nationally recognized teachers, teach-ers, a Cowboy Action Shoot, tours of the city's historic homes, and the traditional pancake pan-cake breakfast sponsored by the Panguitch Lions Club. An exciting and unique addi tion to this year's event is the display of the gigantic 911 Memory Quilt, created by over 3,000 volunteers throughout the world as a lasting testament to those who perished on 911. Created by friends, wives, loved ones and volunteers, over 3,000 ".blocks and measuring more than J5,000 square feet, the quilt tells the story of the human price paid in those unforgettable tragedies. It is usually displayed Panguitch and Kanab each purchased a number of these pratical coverings and share regularly when important events require separate booths. Sixth Annual Quilt Walk Festival Gets Underway Thursday In Panguitch only in large cities, but an exception has been made for Panguitch's Quilt Walk Festival. The moving and inspiring tribute to the 911 victims will be displayed, Thursday through Saturday, in the only building in the area large enough to hold it, the Triple C Arena in Panguitch. Admission is free. Local residents have also collaborated col-laborated to write and produce an original dinner theater production pro-duction based on the historical events of the first "Quilt Walk", Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Social Hall. A Pioneer Heritage and Craft Fair at Zions Bank will be held with continuous entertainment, and Quilt Walk Races to fill the streets on Saturday. Quilts will be on display at Panguitch High School Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. featuring featur-ing pieced and applique. A wide variety of quilting classes and a Quilt Trunk Show will be held , Friday and Saturday at noon. The Cowboy Action Shoot will be held at the rifle range Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. On Saturday, the Panguitch Lions Club pancake breakfast starts at 7:30 until 10:30 and the Pioneer Heritage Craft Fair goes from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., both at Zions Bank. Entertainment and food vending will be ongoing ongo-ing on Historic Main Street also starting at 10 and continuing through out the day. The Pioneer Homes Tour will take place from 3 until 5 p.m. when the Quilt Walk Races start on Main Street. Following the dinner theater at the Social Hall, and capping off this year's Quilt Walk Festival, a street dance will be held at 9 on Main Street.
