Show Garkane Is Playing Santa To Towns With Free Holiday Lighting Garkane Power Association of Richfield will be providing free electricity for decorative Christmas street lighting systems in the cities and towns served by the rural electricity cooperative. In a memorandum sent to community leaders, Garkane's general manager Carl R. Albrecht said his company's employees will also be available to "help brighten the holiday season." Albrecht also noted Christmas lights cane be run across streets and must be installed in accordance with the National Electric Code and have proper right-of-way permits from the State Department of Trans-poration Trans-poration to avoid creating an unsafe condition for anyone working with the lights. The effective dates established by Garkane for this free electrical service begin Nov. 27 and extend through Jan. 2 from 5 p.m. to midnight each day. |
