Show Twenty-five bicyclists, traveling across country t San Francisco from Washington, D.C., spent a brief time in Panguitch. Each cyclist had a minimum of of pledges totaling $2500 before leaving home, with PANGUITCH Twenty-five bike riders traveling cross country to raise funds to help eradicate poverty housing and develop communities for people were welcomed recently in Panguitch. Participating in the Habitat for Humanity Bicycle Challenge, the group spent the night at the New Beginnings Baptist Church and at the home of Wally and Sherrill Henrie and were served dinner and breakfast at the LDS 2nd-3rd Ward chapel where meals and a more pouring in as they travel for "Habitat for Humanity.'' The organization focuses on building homes for poor families unable to afford their own, improving the environment for human beings. Habitat For Humanity Bicyclists Travel To Raise Funds For Housing For Poor sack lunch were prepared by the 3rd Ward Relief Society. Their bicycle trip began May 3 in Washington, D.C. and will end Aug. 2 in San Francisco. There are 15 men and 10 women who are riding to earn $2,500 each in pledges. The group came through Torrey and Escalante to Panguitch and then went on to ! Milford on their way to Ely, Nev. ,' Besides raising money, the group wants to make people across , the country aware of the Habitat for Humanity program and the work that volunteers are doing to help provide housing for those in need.
