Show Field Day Set At Experiment Farm PANGUITCH The Utah State University Extension Service Ser-vice and Experiment Station will hold a field day on Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Panguitch Experiment Farm three miles north of Panguitch. New varieties of oats, Sudan grass, pea, corn, triticale, and pasture grasses will b e covered. There will be a review by Ken Olson on what is being accomplished accom-plished with the beef cow herd on the farm. Specialists Rich Koe-nig Koe-nig (soil fertility), Bob Newhall (pasture and crops), and Bob Hill (irrigation) will make presentations presenta-tions and field questions. Anyone interested in growing forage for livestock will see some new varieties that may work for them. "Everyone is invited, so come and spend a couple of hours with us," says Garfield County USU Extension Agent Jack Soper. |
