Show AREA OBITUARIES Ethel Heywood Watts PANGUITCH Ethel Heywood Watts, 83, died peacefully December 3, 1996, at Hearthstone Care Center in Sparks, Nev. with her son Don Watts and his family by her bedside. She was born April 28, 1913 in Panguitch to Joseph Edgar and Margaret Henrie Heywood. She married Wayne F. Watts June 29, 1935 in Panguitch. He preceded her in death in 1959. Ethel and her family made their home in Reno from 1950 to 1958 where her husband was a founder of the Pioneer Equipment Co. during their marriage, they also resided in Salt Lake City, Sacramento and Las Vegas and lived for several years in South America. After his death, the family moved to Provo, where Ethel worked in sales and did volunteer volun-teer work at Utah Valley Hospital. She was an active member of the LDS Church and of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She returned to Reno to make her home with her son Don in 1989. Ethel is survived by children Don and Carma Watts of Reno Nev; Norman and J.D. Watts of St. George; sisters Margaret Phipps of Provo Utah; Edith Giles of Mesa Arizona; brother Kay Heywood of Panguitch; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Gerald W. Watts in 1983 and parents. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 9, 1996 in Sparks, Nev. Additional services were held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1996 in Panguitch. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
