Show Antimony Hgyvs By Betty Wiley 624-3226 Scott Gleave has the Aspen furniture fur-niture building plant here in Antimony Anti-mony and his wife Marion is busy delivering orders. They are open and have their own furniture outlet in Payson and will stock their own furniture. If you haven't seen the reservoir above Otter Creek Dam, you should. A couple of our young men decided to drive their ATV's along the inlet where the canal dumps into the lake and found that it wasn't as dry as they thought. It took several hours and finally a tractor and cable to get the one out of the mud. They had to crawl on hands and knees to get out to the bike because when they stood up it was like sinking in the snow when one got off a snowmobile in the winter snows in the mountains. The fall weather makes us know that winter in on its way. The cattlemen cat-tlemen are up on the mountain moving cattle off. The Rockin' R has been having tour busses coming in. The passengers pas-sengers on one bus were all from Denmark. Other passengers are mixed, with some coming from Japan, England, Italy, etc. Clarence Belue of Billings, Mont., stopped at my house looking look-ing for history of this area where his grandmother and greatgrandfather great-grandfather Volney King used to live. Part of our house was the first post office. This end of the Panguitch LDS Stake held their Red Cross Blood Drive at the Circleville Cultural Hall. We had very good response especially from Marysvale. Antimony Anti-mony had seven donating. The public affairs officers from Marys-vale, Marys-vale, McVoy Barben, Betty Wiley from Antimony, Leslie Smith and Doris Jones from Circleville, were all there to help. |
