Garfield Memorial Welcomes The First New Baby of 1999 Garfield Memorial Hospital announced an-nounced the arrival of the first bundle bun-dle of joy for the new year 1999 with the birth of Preston Davis Manymules on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 2:10 p.m. The new little boy weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and measured 19 14 inches long. He is the son of Louise Nay and Larry Manymules of Panguitch. Local merchants have extended not only their congratulations and best wishes to the first baby of the year, but also joined with the hospital hos-pital in donating an outstanding array of gifts. For the new parents and baby, First Security Bank in Escalante is giving a $10 Savings Account for the new baby and Garfield County News donated a one-year subscription subscrip-tion to the parents. Garfield Memorial Hospital donated do-nated a case of diapers and a baby spoon; Garkane Power Assn., Inc. gave $50 power or propane credit gift certificate and H&R Building Supply donated a crib blanket. Napa Auto Supply gave the parents par-ents five quarts of NAPA oil and one Silver Line filter and Panguitch Co-op donated a $10 gift certificate. Panguitch Drug gave a baby quilt and Ruby's Inn donated one king spa suite for one night and lube, oil and filter with a car wash. Rumours gave the baby a free haircut and mom $5 off on a perm or color and the Snowed In Quilt Shop donated a baby quilt. State Bank of Southern Utah, Circleville Branch, gave a $20 gift certificate to open a savings account and Subway gave the parents two free 6 inch subs. Thomas Auto donated a free safety inspection for a light truck or car; Yardley Insurance gave $10 cash and Zions First National Bank in Panguitch donated a $25 savings account. |
