Show Tropic News I By Louise Ott 679-8776 Visiting at Royal and Rella Alveys was daughter Carol Cloward; daughters Terri Taylor, Craig and Debbie Sanisbury. They were here so Royal and Rella could see their new baby girl. Larry Cloward, Carol's husband, hus-band, and his three children and families came also. They gathered gath-ered up Florence and Mondell Syrett, Kerry and JoNeil Alvey, Sonie and Lynn Allen and Janet Pollock and all went to Ko-dachrome Ko-dachrome State Park for a picnic and a whole lot of visiting. Ron and Susan Harris went on an outing with Ron's parents Ed and Nancy Littlefield. Bud and Idella Cotrell visited daughter Marie Pollock and fam-ily. fam-ily. Orlan and Ferriland Ruesch, along with daughter Kim Hansen and children went to Page, Ariz, to help John Ruesch celebrate his birthday. Kim helped Orlan drive because they went down and back the same day. On Monday, Kim took her mother Ferriland to the doctor in Cedar City. Kim has been here since March because her husband Chris has been attending at-tending school in Georgia. Their son Cody has really enjoyed going go-ing to school here, and Ryan Alvey, son of Kerry and JoNeil Alvey has been a very special friend. Renon Bybee and Kim have spent a lot of time shopping and enjoying each other. Renon says she is going to miss her when she leaves, as will her parents. par-ents. She has been such a help to them. Rick Bybee participated in a truck rodeo in St. George. Ira Littlefield was in Cedar City for a check up with his doctor. doc-tor. He had to have another treatment. This is the fourth one since his surgery and we hope this one will, be the last. Mitch and Jessica Littlefield were here over the weekend to help nephew Steven Littlefield celebrate his 10th birthday. Steven's Ste-ven's parents, Wally and Lynette Orton of Panguitch took grandfather grandfa-ther Ira for his doctor's appointment. appoint-ment. Fred Hall from Ogden visited daughter Marie Neimann and attended at-tended LDS Stake Conference with Marie and Minnie Neilson. Rolayne Reynolds from Goshen, Utah was here for a week with her parents, Nyle and Merle Richards., She says that Merle is doing super, but still uses a walker for support. Merle was at the clinic Tuesday and she does look good. John and Leslie Chishire from Lexington, Kent, visited with John's mother Mary Miller Boyd. Husband Carl Boyd has accepted a position in Kentucky and he is in hopes that he can eventually be able to work from here. Mary says she loves it out here and has no desire to leave. Don and Dixie Munson took Verlyn Munson to Salt Lake City for tests. She can't sit up without having pain. The doctors think it is from an old injury and it will take time to heal. John Henry and Joni Lyn Mecham, along with children Landon and Summer were in Salt Lake City visiting Joni's father and mother. While there, they took in the Jazz game and spent time at the zoo. Charlene Higuera, from Orem, met sister Pam Spencer from Longmont, Colo, at the Salt Lake City airport. They drove to Tropic to pick up their parents Kent and Betty Lou Wintch. They all went to Panaca and Caliente, Nev. where they enjoyed a fantastic time together with not one, but two parties to celebrate. The family celebrated Betty's birthday the weekend before the actural day, and then on her birthday, she and Kent ran away for the day to Rock Springs. Betty said "We don't have to go to Europe to see beautiful scenery as we have it here at our backdoor." They even beat the storm going and coming and had a wonderful day together. Sandrea Francisco spent the weekend with her sister Robin Griffin in Monroe. Kirk Chynoweth had back surgery sur-gery on Friday and three days (See Tropic News On Page 3-A) Tropic News From Page 2-A later was back to work. Wife Annette Chnoweth reports that it has been three weeks and he is doing great. Mary Etta and Gene Chynoweth met the bus in Cedar City as Gene's brother Bud Chynoweth came from Mexico to visit for several days. While here, he visited sister Lula Moore and his brother Jack and wife Mae Chyoweth. It has been ten years since he was home. He also had a good visit with Wallace Wal-lace Ott: they spent a lot of time together in their younger years. DeRell and Sarah Lou Sud-weeks Sud-weeks were in Nevada visiting their children. Sarah Lou said they went on picnic's, had a real good visit with all of them. DeRell saw a doctor while they were there. Shirley Haycock reports that daughter Garna Kay Deuel has been bedridden for two weeks with eye problems. Visiting with Stanley and Louise Ott was their brother Kenneth Ken-neth and Lorraine Heywood from Wasco.Calif. They came down from Magna. Stanley and Louise also went to Cedar City to see their granddaughters in a program presented at Cedar High School. Granddaughter Franci Ott was a pioneer woman. It was really special to be in attendance. |
