Show Michon Ott Ott Elected As Senator At SUU CEDAR CITY Sophomore Michon Ott of Tropic was recently re-cently elected as senator of the College of Business and Technology Technol-ogy at Southern Utah University. Ott campaigned with the "Time" party, whose platform included making more internships available in the business department, depart-ment, increased computers hours, and updated computer labs. She is a 1995 graduate of Bryce Valley High School and is majoring in business administration, administra-tion, with a minor in marketing. She is a member of the Lamba Delta sorority and the Alpha Phi sorority. She is a daughter of Sherrell and Karen Ott of Tropic and a granddaughter of Wallace and Mary Ott, Tropic and Doyle and Thelma Cottam, Escalante. Herb and Norene Allen were in town on Tuesday. Said they were just passing through on their way to Boulder and that area, just to look around. They didn't pick a very good day. It was snowing when I saw them. Tony and Marilyn Larsen are here from California to open their summer home and get it ready for all the visitors summer brings. They own the house on the red rock hill. They both seem to be doing well. Lynn and Mildred Gates are back from Mesa, Ariz, and getting ready for summer. Mildred seems to be doing well since having some health problems during the winter. Ushur and LaPriel Spencer are home from Cedar City again. Ushur has had more shots in his hip and knee, but says they don't seem to be helping as much as they did. I'm still shopping around for that "New Body Parts Shop", Ushur, so I'll keep you posted. We are losing our postmaster, Beth Hunt. Justin Christensen broke his arm when he got it caught in the rack of the four wheeler he was riding. He will be wearing a cast for a few weeks. Justin is a son of Chris and Tammy Christensen and Julie and Kevin Bond of Hol-laday. |
