Show Antimony ilzm By Betty Wiley 624-3215 The Pat Whites are back. They took a short vacation to California after they closed their Marina and cafe. Two LDS deacons, Jordan Montague and Adam King were advanced in the priesthood Sunday Sun-day from deacons to teachers. Stephanee Robinson graduated from Primary and will now be in the Young Women's program. The Halloween dinner and party was a great success. : It helps to have adults who can join the young people and have fun together. Tom and Sally East were here visiting with the Van and Bill Wileys on Sunday afternoon. They had bad roads going home. Marcia and Toby Tobiasson, Chantry Brindley joined the Ladd Brindleys, the Fred Bronasema's, Duslin Brindley and friend aVid all went to Las Vegas, Nev. to attend a car show and races. They got in (See ANTIMONY on page 4-A) Antimony News From Page 2-A bad roads coming up the Black Ridge from St. George and with all the snow in Cedar City Sunday Sun-day evening, they all stayed there Sunday night and came on home Monday morning. Phil Allen and son, Shannon Allen attended the All Breeds Bull sale in Elko, Nev., where they got the award of Champion Polled Herford. Neal Ipson tells me he is 89 not 87. My mistake but he is doing do-ing so good I really thought he was only 87. He will have some of his family here for the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving holiday. Principal of the elementary school here, Bernice Jolley, tells me they had a Veterans Day program pro-gram at the school and had two speakers: veterans of World War II, Clarence Twitchell and George Jolley. The weather has turned so cold that no one is venturing very far from home and so there isn't much to talk about this week. Betty C. Wiley and Van Wiley attended the Utah Association Associa-tion of Counties meeting and dinner din-ner at Dixie College on Friday evening as Honored guests. They were honoring all past presidents and lady vice-presidents of the UAC and county officials who were retiring or who lost out in the elections this Fall. Guest speaker for the Panguitch Pan-guitch LDS Stake Women at the Panguitch Stake Center was Mamie Hjorth. Lunch was served at noon. |
