Show Bobcat Regs Set During the bobcat season or no later than the Saturday after the close of the season, bobcat pelts must be delivered to the Division of Wildlife Resources to have a permanent tag affixed and to surrender the lower jaw. Since Nov. 23 when the season began, pelts have been being tagged on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the Southern Region from 1 to 4 p.m. at the DWR Cedar City office, 622 North Main Street. They can also be tagged from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Feb. 17, 1996 at the Cedar City office or the Glenwood Fish Hatchery near Richfield. Arrangements can be made to have bobcats tagged at the regional office at other times during the season by making an appointment appoint-ment with the regional office. Possession of untagged bobcats after Feb. 17 is a violation of the Utah wildlife code. Trappers and hunters are reminded that the lower jaw of the harvested bobcat must be removed and tagged with the numbered jaw tag corresponding to the number on the temporary possession tag affixed to the hide. The jaw, which is used to determine age structure of harvested bobcats, must be cleaned and turned in to the DWR at the time the permanent tag is attached. (See Bobcat Regulations Outlined By DWR On Page 3A) Bobcat Regs Set From Page 5A Legally taken and tagged bobcat hides may be transported by an individual indi-vidual other than the fur harvester, provided .guidelines outlined in the furbearer proclamation are followed.
