Barney Named Outstanding Sixth District Court Clerk PANGUITCH Sixth District Court Clerk Dawna Barney who serves in the Garfield County Courthouse in Panguitch, has been honored by her peers in the Sixth District Court jurisdiction as Outstanding Out-standing Court Clerk. Barney, who has been a court clerk for the past 19 years, was recognized rec-ognized with a plaque awarded by the Administrative Court of Clerks. Court clerks and employees of the Sixth District were also honored with a banquet in December. Barney also received the honor of being asked to serve in a position on the prestigious Clerical Education Educa-tion Committee charged with the responsibility of developing an ongoing on-going education program for Utah's court clerks. The committee of nine held its first meeting in February Feb-ruary in Salt Lake City. The committee is presently compiling a manual for all court clerks. Utah's court clerks in the future fu-ture will be required to master the information in the manual in increments incre-ments for periodic advancements. It is expected to be refined and completed by year's end. |
