FFA CONVENTION , 2 Kansas City, Missouri )' i , ' - Members of the Panguitch High School FFA chapter recently participated in the National FFA Agricultural Issues Forum held in Kansas KANSAS CITYPANGUITCH Members of the Panguitch FFA chapter recently traveled to Kansas City, Mo to attend the National FFA Agricultural Issues Forum, during the 68th National FFA Convention, on Nov. 9 and 10. "The Agricultural Issues Forum helps FFA members develop their ability to present information and positions about agricultural issues. The members learn how to analyze issues, formulate positions on them and communicate their view in an informative, positive style," says Carol Duval, National FFA Organization Organi-zation teacher services specialist. The Agricultural Issues Forum is the result of local chapter efforts to investigate, analyze, and communicate com-municate a position to the local community. Presentations to community com-munity groups by a team of FFA members begins in agriculture classroom with instruction about issues, how to investigate them and analyze research. Members are then encouraged to present their position to local community groups as an informativepersuasive forum. The National FFA Agricultural Issues Forum is sponsored by Elanco Animal Health, a division of Eli Lilly and Company as a special spe-cial project of the National FFA Foundation. It is one of 17 national na-tional events held each year at the national FFA convention. |
