Show By Marta Peterson 834-5306 Bryce Canyon had a brief period of very warm weather with clear, still days. The weather decided to return to winter with winds and snow. The December thaw became just a memory overnight. Quite a number of Bryce Canyon employees are spending the holidays holi-days with family in other parts of Utah or other states. Dan Ng traveled trav-eled to San Francisco to spend Christmas with his family. His sister just adopted a baby and this visit will give him a chance to know his niece. Lou Good journeyed jour-neyed by plane to the state of Washington to enjoy the holidays. Actually the office is very quiet this time of year with many of the staff taking time off to be with family and friends to celebrate the holiday season. Dennis and La Verne Brookie organized or-ganized the children into a finely tuned chorus and went door to door in the housing area spreading their Christmas cheer with a collection of Christmas songs the carolers sang with guests. The evening culminated with a delicious fry bread dinner hosted by the Brookies. Many December birthdays were celebrated at Bryce Canyon. Caitlyn, daughter of Tim and Alison Wright, reached the milestone mile-stone of one year with a party in Hurricane where her grandparents live. Roger and Barb Parson's daughter, Katy, celebrated her seventh sev-enth birthday with cake and presents pre-sents and was immediately seen cruising the neighborhood perched on a hot red bicycle. Leo Chynoweth accepted the heavy equipment operator job at Bryce Canyon. Leo and family, welcome to the Bryce Canyon family! |
