Show ASCS Election Results PANGUITCH Results of the Dec. 7 election of Garfield County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Con-servation Service (ASCS) committee-persons for 1993 were announced an-nounced recently by County Executive Execu-tive Director Brad Reeve. Named to the committee posts in the mail-in balloting were: H. Dell LeFevre, Boulder, committee member; Mira Loy Ott, Bryce Valley, Val-ley, committee member; Scott Steed, Escalante, first alternate; and Burns Black, Antimony, second alternate. al-ternate. Reeve stated that the commit tees, comprised of farmers, are in charge of local administration of national farm programs, under the guidance of the state ASCS committee com-mittee and applicable federal laws and regulations. At least one committee com-mittee member and two alternates are elected each year. The farmer receiving the largest number of votes is elected to the county committee com-mittee for a three-year term, persons per-sons receiving the second and third largest numbers of votes are elected to one-year terms as first and second sec-ond alternates. |
