Show i Adrian Pollock Pollock Celebrates 80th Birthday TROPIC Adrian Pollock of Tropic celebrated his 80th birthday Saturday at Ruby's Inn with 31 members of his family in attendance. atten-dance. He was born Nov. 12, 1915 in Henrieville, a son of Parley F. and Lydia Jane Willis Pollock. He married Glenna LeFevre on Sept. 19, 1940 in the Sl George LDS Temple. They had nine children: Jolene (Halger) Jensen, Darlene (Grant) LeFevre, Adrian Lynn (deceased), Hazel (June) Sanders, Gam (Peggy) Pollock, Vee (Gwen) Pollock, Dee (Danita) Pollock, Royce (Debbie) Pollock and Dale (Janiece) Pollock. They have 30 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. An avid hunter and fisherman, Adrian started herding sheep at age 12. He received his 8th grade diploma, all the education offered at that time. He believes in taking very good care of his animals, especially espe-cially his little backyard sheep herd. He loves being in the outdoors and enjoys his family. Throughout his life he has worked at Kennecott, as a sheep-herder, sheep-herder, at Pierson Industries, Kaibab and as a Tropic Town police officer. He started a local group of Alcoholics Anonymous and has actively ac-tively worked with this group for 30 years. His surviving brother and sister are Jack Pollock and Shirley Haycock of Tropic. |
