Ken and Emma Ahlstrom arc back from California where they spent time selling their home. Now most of their time will be spent in hometown territory. It was good to see Panguitchites Jim Prince, Darlcne Talbot Orion, Max Orion, the Gordon Ortons, Linford and Rcva Orion and Aurclia Adair here for Gary Orion's funeral. Doug and Maxine Orion Haws didn't ;makc it as Doug was in the hospital in Colorado. Kay, Ncilcne and Annette Heywood and the Joe and Lcniecc Fischer family went north for the LDS mission report of Kathy Gcsilmer's son who has returned from the England mission where our own Justin Fischer is now serving. The young men arc cousins. Loyhova and Corncila D.U.P. camps held their respective March meetings in the city library. The lesson was on ihe Scandinavian immigration. Barlara Talbot gave the history of her grandmother, Ages (Aggie) Miller Norton. Norma Talbot and Pauline Prince are back from their annual California sister trip. Darlcne Evans is getting moved into her old library antique shop. Several more motels in town have opened for the season. Now that the Stale Legislature session is over, Jim and Ncucilc Yardlcy returned home and then promptly flew to Texas for the baptism of a grandson. The Bart and Jackie Reynolds family gave the program in the 1st Ward Sacrament meeting. Danny Yardlcy and Brandon Boshcll were ordained teachers in the Aaronic Priesthood. The little son of Clay and Michelle Burningham was blessed by Kenneth Scvy and given the name of Ty J. Burningham. Bob and Juanita Smith went north to visit family and to bring back a load of nursery supplies to start the spring planting. Clark and Gwcn Frandscn, Allic Frandsen and Dudley Proctor went north for the mission farewell of grandson James Duckett who has been called to serve in Italy. This is familiar territory for Jimmy as his family, the Jim and Barbara Duck-etts Duck-etts lived near ihe area while stationed sta-tioned there with the U.S. military services. |
