Show Norman LeFevre PANGUITCH Norman W. LeFevre, 71, Cannonville, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1992 at the Lake Mead Medical Center in Nevada Born Oct. 31, 1920 in Panguitch Pangui-tch to Leon and Margaret Pearl Houston LeFevre, he married Anna Mae Folsom Johnson on Oct. 8, 1956 in Fredonia, Ariz. She died Mar. 24, 1990. He was a veteran of WWII and a member of the Bryce Valley American Ameri-can Legion Post 18, where he served as Commander. He was employed em-ployed as a mason for many years with both the U.S. Forest Service and National Park Service. He is survived by four sons and one daughter: Richard LeFevre, West Valley City; Neil Johnson and Edward Johnson both of Las Vegas, Nev.; Lorin Johnson, Fairbanks, Fair-banks, Ak. and Mrs. John (Margaret) (Mar-garet) Minor, St. George; 19 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Vernon Leon LeFevre, Globe, Ariz.; Ira "Ike" LeFevre, Panguitch; Mrs. Bonnie Lamore-aux, Lamore-aux, El Cerrito, Calif, and Margaret Pearl Woolsey, Layton. Funeral services were held Monday, Mon-day, Feb. 24, 1992 at the Cannonville Can-nonville LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Joe Thompson officiating and Gay Shakespear provided prelude pre-lude and postlude music. Family prayer was offered by Neil Johnson. The services were opened with an invocation rendered by Brent Johnson and a musical selection se-lection by the Cannonville Ward Choir. A tribute was given by E.C. Johnson followed by thoughts ESCALANTE Ruth Cha Dirk "Dyna" Park Christensen Wooley, 86, died Feb. 23, 1992 at home in Escalante. She was born on Feb. 4, 1906 in Kealia, Hawaii to Chun Yi Sook and Park Sung Moon. She married Richard Wrenshall on Nov. 11, 1927 in Hawaii, who later died. On May 1, 1946 she married William Mohr Christensen in Honolulu, Hawaii, which marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple on Sept. 26, 1987. He died Nov. 16, 1989. She married W. Reid Wooley on Jun. 6, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nev. She was a homemaker and member mem-ber of the LDS Church moving to Escalante with her husband in 1947. She is survived by her husband, Escalante; two stepsons and one step daughter, Neil Wooley, Preston, Pre-ston, Ida.; Ron Wooley, St. George and Mrs. George (Marva) Salkeld, Laguna Niguel, Cal.; eight step-grandchildren step-grandchildren and 10 step greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Other survivors include: two brothers, Jimmy Park, Souther-land, Souther-land, Ore. and Arthur Park, Cal. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1992 in the Escalante First LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Myron Cottam officiating offi-ciating and prelude and postlude music provided by Susan Wilson. Ronnie Wooley offered the family prayer. The services were opened by an invocation from Gene Griffin. The grandchildren, accompanied by Trudy Johnson, sang a selection, with the closing benediction given by Bradlee Johnson. Lorin Johnson dedicated the grave, with full military rites by the Bryce Valley American Legion Post 18. Pallbearers were grandsons: Brent .Johnson, Layne Johnson, Lorin "Brad" Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Bradlee Johnson, Lance Johnson, Timothy Johnson and Michael Johnson. Interment was in the Cannonville Cannon-ville Cemetery with all arrangements arrange-ments by Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. Vesta Anderson PANGUITCH Vesta Erma Allen Anderson, 61, died of lymphoma lym-phoma Feb. 20, 1992 in Panguitch. She was born Jan. 13, 1931 in Kanab to Philo and Erma Heaton Allen and married Virgil Anderson Ander-son on Mar.-10, 1952 in Fredonia, Ariz. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. An active member of the LDS Church, she taught primary and worked in the relief society. Vesta worked for the Bryce Way Motel, Clien's Laundry, Southern Utah Industries as a sewing machine operator, op-erator, as a cook and housekeeper at Garfield Memorial Hospital, and housekeeper for many individuals in Panguitch. She was a good organizer and an excellent cook and was known for her sweetrolls and fruitcake. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, and sewing for her family and once made 107 shirts for family members mem-bers in a short period of time. Her survivors include: husband, Panguitch; five children, James V. Anderson, Kanab; Mrs. Lorin (Maria) Johnson, Fairbanks, Aka.; Mrs. Terry (Virginia) Blouch, Panguitch; Mrs. Allen (Valerie) Briggs of Fredonia, Ariz.; Stacey Anderson, Panguitch; and 13 grandchildren. Other survivors include brothers broth-ers and sisters: Philo Allen, Tay-lorsville; Tay-lorsville; John Allen and Fred , I y' 1 ' Vesta Anderson Allen both of Kanab; Jesse Allen, St. Johns, Ariz.; Israel Allen and Stephen Allen both of Newburg, Ore.; Gideon Allen, Boise, Ida.; Don Allen, Fredonia, Ariz. ; R. Ashley Allen, Kearns and Mrs. Warren (LeRene) Yarnell, Clearfield; and Mrs. Don (Shirley) Wardle, American Fork. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 25, 1992 in the Panguitch Pan-guitch LDS Stake Center. Graveside Grave-side services and burial were at the Kanab City Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary, Kanab. Dyna C. Wooley ( I f J1 III ) . J i Dyna Wooley selection and Mark McLamore spoke. Lynn Griffin and Delane Griffin performed a vocal duet and Keith Carter also spoke. Bishop Myron Cottam offered remarks, followed by a special song by the double trio. Max Porter offered the benediction and Sam Christensen Chris-tensen dedicated the grave. Pallbearers included Ronnie Wooley, Neil Wooley, Chris Christensen, Kerry Christensen, Greg Christensen and Norman Christensen. Honorary pallbearers were Smith Alvey, Rolin Christensen; Chris-tensen; Dick Norbit and Mohr Christensen. Interment was at the Escalante Cemetery under the direction of Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield. |
