Show By Wendy Byron Summertime is finally here, and we're all enjoying it in our own way, whether it is attending family fami-ly affairs, or canning and working outside. Let's all enjoy it while it's here. It will be gone before we know it Ruth Ann Oliver took her commissioned art work to Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev. for the grand opening of a medical clinic. Tony and Julie Cottam have moved back to town. Robert Simpson, former resident resi-dent of Escalante, passed away July 7, 1991 in Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City. He is father to Rob Simpson of Escalante. The McLemore family returned from Vallejo, Calif., where they attended the James family reunion. Golda Cottam enjoyed visits from Colleen and Bryce Cottam of Hiko, Nev., and the Boyd Cottams. Verda Griffin was taken to Color Country Care Center in St. George where she is adjusting well. Her son Devoe Griffin thanks all of you for your help. Faye Alvey is out of the hospital hospi-tal and staying with her daughter in Mapleton. Orilla Cowles enjoyed visits with Leon Cowles of Portland, Ore., and David and Delilah Cowles, of Provo. Vernon and Hazel Griffin celebrated cele-brated their 50th wedding anniversary anniver-sary at the home of their son, Sharon Griffin, in Monroe. Art and Emie Snyder spent a couple of days in Salt Lake City. There is an "info" box in the city library for you to leave any news items you'd like put in this column. |
