Show Two BCNP Park Employees Cited For Life Saving Actions BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK In a letter of commendation commenda-tion to Paul Trammell, vice president presi-dent and general manager of TW Recreational Services at Bryce Canyon Lodge, acting superintendent superinten-dent Charlotte Oberg cited the quick thinking and skill of two TWRS employees that saved the lives of two park visitors in separate incidents inci-dents in June. In early June, John Lambert, a dining room waiter, employed the Heimlich Maneuver to clear an obstruction ob-struction in the airway of a visitor who was choking. On June 19, Peggy Joliet, a nurse at the lodge, was first on the scene and performed CPR on a cardiac car-diac arrest victim. She stayed with the victim and continued to provide support during the ambulance ride and in the hospital emergency room. "In both cases the park visitor survived due to the quick action or your employees...," Oberg's letter said. Headquartered in Cedar City, TWRS is the principal concessioner and main employer inside the park. |
