Show - Cannon ville News - Mr. and Mrs. George Bushncll, Bountiful, were here for a few days to help care for Mr. and Mrs. Mar-t Mar-t ion Clark. Don Mangum and Rile Dutton, Monroe, took a trip on horseback back into the hills. Laurie Coons has retired from the post office in Tropic after many years. Marva Fletcher is also retiring retir-ing as Laurie's assistant. Joe Lutes and Barbie Lutes joined the Guy Thompson family for a trip to Disneyland. ' ' Steve Nelson and Linda Nelson were in Salt Lake City this week visiting with family members. Tom Shakespeare was in Salt 1 Lake City on business. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Mar Willis were among those to enjoy the Oriental dinner given by Vicki Syrctt's second grade class on Thursday. Kari Willis and Kara Sudwecks were winners in the bookmark contest con-test held in conjunction with the Scholastics Book Fair being held in the school library this week. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Mar Willis spent a day at the St. George LDS Temple. - Louise Mangum, Bonnie Jane Leslie, Kay Walker and the children made an overnight trip to Cedar City to celebrate Kay's birthday. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mathews was given the name Trcvar Ben Mathews by Clifford Mathews on Sunday in LDS Sacrament meeting. Syliva Luker, Salt Lake City, and Mary Crosby, Kanab, visited Dorothy Leavitt. The three sisters enjoyed lunch and a visit with another an-other sister, Betty Winlch, Tropic. Mr. and Mrs. Kwan Ott, Page, Ariz., visited parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Ott. Betty Henderson entertained the LDS Family Home Evening group at her home on Monday evening where LaVera Moss was co-hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nelson were in Richfield for Marie Chynowcth's wedding and then went to Las Vegas Ve-gas to visit son, Mark Nelson. |
