Show On 80 Acres Boundary Lines To Be Surveyed The county has selected the engineering en-gineering firm of Urie and Adams of Cedar City to conduct a survey h of the 80-acre Clear Creek Estates " Unit 1 after creating a special improvement im-provement district for the area to correct discrepancies in boundary lines surveyed in 1962. Commission Chairman Tom Hatch said the county had sent 90 questionnaires to all property owners own-ers in the subdivision with only three of the 85 who replied opposing oppos-ing the survey to correct the boundary problems. Overlapping boundaries on paper pa-per are creating problems, Hatch said, but all the property is there. Bad bearings and distances on the 1962 survey will be rectified, with the costs through the special improvement im-provement district spread out over a long period of time so that the approximate ap-proximate $15,000 to $20,000 cost does not have to be met up front, Hatch said. Property owners will deed their property back to the district for correction of problems and new corrected deeds will be issued, enabling en-abling property owners to obtain title insurance on their property that is now impossible to get. More than 100 parcels of land arc involved in the district, Hatch said, with most of the land values having increased substantially ovei the years. The county will meet initial expenses and recover the costs over a five-year period through the special spe-cial Clear Creek Improvement District. |
