Show Arilla Nay Catlin PAROWAN Arvillia "Arilla" Mansor Nay Catlin died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1991 at the Iron County Rest Home in Parowan. She was born in Circleville to Stephen and Emma Ann Wilson Mansor on Oct, 27, 1891. On July 10, 1910, she married John Whe-lock Whe-lock Nay who died Dec. 20, 1946. She married Alfred Bartlett Catlin Dec. 19, 1946. He died July 27, 1980. , As a child Arilla had to walk three miles to and from school. The 8th grade was the extent of her formal education. She began working, work-ing, washing clothes for other people, peo-ple, at the age of 1 1 and spent many years of her life working in the homes of other people. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in various positions. Arilla is survived: by two sons, John L. Nay, Kearns and Kent Nay, Circleville; five daughters, Shirley Lawrence, Idaho Falls, Ida.; Ada Partridge, Parowan; Mrs. Carl (Ida) Dennis, Kaysville; Mrs. John (R. Gene) Perotti, San Bruno, Calif.; Mrs. Lloyd (Grayce) Hurd, Kanab; 33 grandchildren; 75 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; and 20 great-greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sat-urday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. at the Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary Chapel in Richfield with Richfield LDS Bishop Duane P. Memmott officiating. Jerrold LeFevre offered of-fered the family prayer and Lance Nay the invocation. An-derson. Kim Adams and Elaine Tebbs sang "Grandma Tell About the Good Old Days". Speakers were grandchildren Ardis Anderson and Jonny Nay with closing remarks by Bishop Memmott. The benediction was offered by Chad Nay with John. L. Nay dedicating the grave at the Monroe Cemetery. |
