Show BV Junior Heads For State Uleef TROPIC - Sixteen-year-old Bryce Valley High School junior Crystal Mangum will travel to Brigham Young University on April 13 where she will participate in the state music competition. The talented band student captured superior ratings at Region 12 solo and ensemble competition held at the Wasatch Academy at Mt. Pleasant on March 26. She played tenor saxophone for the competition and also has played piano for the past five years. Others capturing superior ratings at the challenging competition were panguitch High School student Jody Allred, a junior, for a vocal solo; Carson Marshall, a sophomore, for his performance on the piano and baritone horn; and Eileen McKee, a sophomore, for her flute solo. |
