Also, if you slice eggs with a knife, try heating it The yolks don't break as easily. Have you tried rubbing alcohol on ball point pen marks? I took some out of the pockets of my husband's shirts. Perhaps it doesn't work on all types of ink, but it's worth a try. Dear Vi: When building or remodeling, keep some scraps of any tile or slate you use. If you should get a crack or chip, you can repair it with some pulverized powder from a matching piece mixed with epoxy glue. A stick of peppermint candy inserted in an apple before baking gives a delicious flavor. Also add some to applesauce. A neighbor suggested using egg white to remove gum from our little girl's hair.
