Show Hatch Happenings Velma Huntington A baptismal service was held here conducted by Leland Riggs. The full time missionaries Elder David James and Elder Phil Reynolds attended and helped in the program. Being baptized into the LDS Church were Sandra Michelle Bills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bills; David Don Seals, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Seals and Deon Vincent Dutton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Dutton. Teresa Dawn Bills, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bills was blessed and given her name by Leland Riggs. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Danny Young, Susan Young and Janette Young, Lewis Barney, Dorothy Barney and Lamar Barney. David Don Seals was sustained to become a deacon in the priesthood. Mr. fend Mrs. Orlas Riggs went to St. George on business and to visit the Jerry Riggs. The golden wedding anniversary reception for Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap on Saturday was well attended by all their children and grandchildren and many relatives and, friends from far and near. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder went to Salt Lake City and brought Vay Sawyer home from St. Marks hospital. Velta Sawyer, Vay's wife, Kanab accompanied them. They stayed here in Hatch overnight with Vay's mother, Verda Sawyer. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek and Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington visited in Washington City overnight with the Wynn Tureks and Ada Nordell and accompanied them to a barbership quartet concert in St. George. A large number of our local people attended the fireside program in Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton visited in Monroe with, the Duke Dal tons faking' them later to Richiield oh business. Later in the week Hope and Grant visited in Cedar City and in Parowan with the Wayne Stubbs. Visiting the Grant Daltons at their home were Shannon Clark, Travis Clark and Shawnee Clark, Kanab and Heidi Dalton, Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Darol Allred accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder to Cedar City where the Lowders helped the Allreds celebrate their wedding anniversary with a steak dinner. The Darol Allreds went to Washington City to seek a hornet .after Darol had a job interview with (radio station KCLG. t Merrill Clark, Spanish Forkk t brought his mother Sessietaark" here to visit a few weeks with her I daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and J Mrs. Lynn Evans. ! The Evans took Mrs. Clark with them to Hurricane to visit the Deloy Evans and to help their grandson Allen Evans celebrate his birthday. I Weekend visitors with the David -Sawyers were the Kent Sawyers, ' Jeff Sawyer, Eric Sawyer and the t Kent Sawyers, Cedar City and Mr. !and Mrs. Kerry Sawyer, Panguitch. They all went on' a tour to Lee's Ferry, across Navajo Bridge and onto Glen Canyon Dam and Lake I Powell. Delores Allred and Velma I Huntington accompanied them.
